 Overami is one Edo artist that has kept the Nigerian music lovers, especially those in the south south part of the country stunned as he drops his much anticipated song titled “Laho”,

 

The song was inspired by the Edo culture and his love for his homeland; . Overami seamlessly weaves Edo, Nigerian Pidgin, and English into his lyrics, creating a distinct and captivating musical style.

The hook chorus “Laho”, meaning “please”, talks about God’s strength and protection in the Edo language (Please God strengthen and protect me).

 

Laho has kept on making waves on TikTok while Overami continues to draw his fan base from the ancient city of Benin and Edo indigen in the diaspora.

 

Overami has continued to spread his style of music across Nigeria and Europe, which has gained so much traction in the past few months.
